FAITH AND SCIENCE – A MATCH MADE IN THE STARS

There are basically two kinds of people in this world. One who believes that it is our hard work that gifts us what we wish and deserve. The other class of people make sure they invest sufficient faith in God and get driven with the fact that we will get what he plans for us so there is nothing where we can contribute. We may vibe with any of the two groups. My question is, do we think that if we pick anyone, then it completes the loop and heads to end goal?

I was travelling for a project work last week with my colleague. She is a very respected lady in the group. We were doing casual chat but more personal. She popped up with a question for me, “If you were not in the profession, you are currently in, where else you would have liked to see yourself?”. I replied, “Anything related to Space”. She was happily shocked and asked, “This is interesting! This means you believe in the science of celestial objects and their connection to humans.” I smiled (as she was pointing to Astrology, Numerology, etc.) and answered, “Never ever”. With great curiosity, she asked, “How can a person like you who believes so much in God and gets attracted by Space does not believe in its science?”

Her question was obvious. I answered with all my heart, “Because I do not want to find him or his plans. I just want to feel him 😊”. She smiled with her eyes and our conversation came to an end.

I have listened to multiple podcasts and people discussing Astrology and similar science which relates stars/moons and what not, to our journey as a human. An indeed perpetual debate, I must say. Some philosophers call it pseudoscience. If I try to derive the purpose of all these in my way, they are all a kind of a medium to know God’s will or read his plans. This is one of those rare frontiers for which I do not have a solid say. For most others, I have my stand. People consider astrology as a science and some incidents/experience from our life or other’s life force us to believe that something like this does exist. I personally do not WANT to believe in this science. Only reason is, I want to envision my life based on my conviction and my faith in God. Even if it is all written and pre-planned, I respect that, but I don’t want to know this and let GOD unveil that for me as MY destiny and HIS will.

I feel my GOD in all my people and the contentment I have in life. It is much easier said than done, but trying to find his plan takes us a step away from feeling him. As soon as we attempt to decrypt his plan, we are losing the divinity and the life it carries. Trust me, you will feel him when you stop looking for him. It just happens that way. We somehow get the vibe if he is with us or not.

The person or wish you pray for will soon become the person or wish you pray with. Few questions must remain unanswered to add soul to our life. Life tends to become lifeless if we dwell on logic and answers.
